Woke early, and due to the weather forecast being bright and windy, becoming cloudy and even windier in the afternoon, decided to hit the bricks asap. I’d a century ride plotted, but at the first bottle-out point the road was in the process of being ripped up and resurfaced. Considering this bit of road is referred to on Strava as the “East Cowick Cobbles – 2nd worst road in the country” it’s high bloody time.
So – I cut the first corner and decided i’d settle for a metric century instead. By the time I made it somewhere near home it was blowing around 20mph gusting 30, hence the string of PB’s and other achievements on the Strava plot for this ride
